MINI U8-U10 PROGRAM

For new and experienced players aged seven to ten.

Our Mini program focuses on creating a fun, inclusive environment where kids can develop their skills, teamwork, and love for the game. At this age group, the goal is to provide a balanced approach that emphasizes basic skill development, understanding of the game, and enjoying the sport. Players a placed-on teams led by volunteer coaches. Each team competes in a league against teams in our or neighboring communities.

REGISTRATION

We accept friend requests. We want players to enjoy playing soccer with their friends so if you have friends playing soccer too, request to be on their team in the requests section of your registration

UNIFORM
Players are provided a jersey, shorts, and socks. A player’s jersey is relevant from August 1 (previous year) to July 31 of the following year. Depending on when you register during that time frame that jersey fee will only be charged once.If players require additional kit, items can be purchased through the club by emailing: UNIFORMS@MISSIONSOCCERCLUB.COM.

DAYS

  • Boys Games = Saturdays
  • Boys Practices = Mondays & Wednesdays
  • Girls Games = Sundays
  • Girls Practices = Tuesdays & Thursdays

RECOGNITION
At the end of each season players will be provided an award for their hard work.

  • Fall = Medal
  • Winter = Medal
  • Spring = Medal

VOLUNTEER COACHES
Our soccer club is run almost entirely by Volunteers, and we'd like to ask you to consider volunteering with your child's team or with the club this season.

DURATION
September to November. Generally the season begins after labor day long weekend and the season ends at the end of November. Some teams choose to begin training in August and choose to participate in tournaments before the season begins or after the season ends extending the season duration.

COMPETITION
All registering players will be placed on teams. Teams play weekly matches against other Mission teams and in some cases teams from the Fraser Valley. Teams should be prepared to drive to compete in away games in different cities in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Maple Ridge.

IMPORTANT DATES
Below are general dates for our season. Individual teams will share more specific dates as we approach the season or events. There are no club planned events on holidays or long weekends. Teams can choose to enter tournaments on holidays or long weekends.

  • First Practice for girls will be the first Tuesday after Labour Day
  • First practice for boys will be the first Wednesday after Labour Day
  • Fall Wrap-up events for teams will be held on the final Saturday (boys) and Sunday (girls) of November.
  • No practices:
    • Labour Day
    • National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Remembrance Day
